Rules & Information

DRAW

The draw will be released once all teams have been confimred.  Please like our CFCT Facebook page, download the CFcentre app or check our website, www.cfct.co.nz page regularly to stay up to date with all the results and updates.

 

GAMES

Games will start and finish as per the draw each game may be subject to a small period of extra time at the referees' discretion.  Each team is expected to be at the venue no later than 30 minutes prior to your kick-off.  5 minutes prior to kick-off, teams must be lined up, ready to be escorted onto the field. 

 

FOOTWEAR

Please note that CLEAN football boots are required on our turf fields at all times.  NO metal studs or flat soled shoes to be worn by any player at any time on the turf football fields.

 

RULES

The tournament will be played according to FIFA regulations with the exception of details that are explained below.

U8 - Players born on, or after 1st January 2012.
Dispensation for two over-age players born in Oct/Nov/Dec 2011

U9 - Players born on, or after 1st January 2011.
Dispensation for two over-age players born in Oct/Nov/Dec 2010

U10 - Players born on, or after 1st January 2010.
Dispensation for two over-age players born in Oct/Nov/Dec 2009

U11 - Players born on, or after 1st January 2009.
Dispensation for two over-age players born in Oct/Nov/Dec 2008

U12 - Players born on, or after 1st January 2008.
Dispensation for two over-age players born in Oct/Nov/Dec 2007

In addition, dispensation can be given for female players if that player is less than one year older then the age group they play in.

Note: Special dispensation may also be granted to players who play in a younger age group for their regional competition or other exceptional circumstances on a case by case basis.

 

 

 

 

SUBSTITUTIONS

For games rolling subs apply. There is no limit on substitutions made, unless they are used for time wasting, as judged by the referee with a potential yellow card penalty.

 

WARM-UPS

Teams are to warm-up on the grass area opposite the main carpark. Teams are free to take whatever space they need on this area but are asked to be respectful of other teams when selecting a space. Please make sure to stick to the marked paths when travelling to and from the warm-up area and pitch.

 

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

TBC and will be based on number of registrations received per age group.

 

TEAM SHEET

Each team will be expected to hand in their filled in team sheet to referees 5 minutes before each game. Referees will use the sheet to track all information from the game.

 

ARTIFICIAL FIELD RULES 

Spectators must follow the line markings and ropes on the ‘blue’ area.  Spectators are welcome to sit on the stands, stand behind the marked lines on the ‘blue’ area, between the fields on the ‘blue’ area or stand behind the fence and ropes at all times.  No spectators may enter the ‘green’ area at any time, which is reserved for players, coaches and referees only.  No food is to be consumed inside the fenced areas.  Please also note that the Christchurch Football Centre is a smoke free zone.
