The Global 7’s is New Zealand's Premier 7-A-Side Football Competition. It aims to fill a hole in the footballing calendar and provide footballers with the opportunity to compete against their peers in what will be a fun-filled fast-paced tournament. On December 14-15 we will welcome 24 teams from around the country along with their supporters.
The state-of-the-art facility at the Christchurch Football Centre, will create the perfect backdrop for your team to test themselves across two days of high-level competition.
We invite you to compete for the fantastic trophies and the Global 7’s title while enjoying our hospitality and the jaw-dropping scenery of the Canterbury region.

ABOUT THE VENUE
State of the art home of the Global 7’s
Without fail, first-time visitors from close and far are blown away by the outstanding quality of the facilities at the Christchurch Football Centre. Starting from humble beginnings of a few perfectly groomed grass pitches four years ago, the CFC has quickly evolved into one of the leading football facilities in the country.
Even Prime Minister John Key was suitably impressed and agreed to open the new facility in June 2015. The green-and-blue surface is the newest technology of artificial fields in the world and the first venue to construct these pitches in Australasia.
The unique design uses cork instead of the traditional black rubber pitches that often cause overheating, black marks on clothes and shoes or even a nasty smell.
The Christchurch Football Centre is the vision of Christchurch businessman and sports enthusiast Slava Meyn to provide year-round football programmes for local youngsters with professional coaches on a world-class facility.
Visiting teams from past events at the centre are buzzing with excitement to yet again play on our world-class facilities, in a professional environment and festival atmosphere in what is set to be one of the premier youth football events in New Zealand.
